SSC CGL 2019:- Staff Selection Commission ( कर्मचारी चयन आयोग) also known as SSC in short form and it is an organization under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. Earlier SSC was known as Subordinate Services Commission but later on it renamed to Staff Selection Commission. SSC recruit the staff on the basis of their various exam. Following are the exam list which is conducted by SSC government organization. Staff Selection Commission soon published official notification in their official website. They did not mention exact vacancies in their yet. Before discussing “SSC CGL 2019”, you should know that recently SSC has made the major change in Tier 1 time duration. Yes, SSC changed the Tier 1 time from 75 minutes to 60 Minute which is one hour only.

SSC CGL 2019 Eligibility Criteria details

Following are the major aspect of Official notification:-

All the interested candidates must meet following eligibility criteria to appear in the exam 2019, candidates should meet the minimum required qualification and age limit which is shown below.

Minimum Qualification:
  • Compiler:- graduation in Economics/Statistics/Mathematics as a compulsory or Elective subject from recognized university/ Board/ Institute to appear in the exam 2019.
  • Statistical Investigator Grade – II:- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level from recognized university/ Board/ Institute to appear in the exam 2019
  • For other posts:- Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree in any Discipline from recognized university/ Board/ Institute to appear in cgl exam 2019.

SSC CGL 2019 Selection Process details

Candidates would be select on the basis of following Tiers. Candidates have to clear every previously tier to move on next Tier. Candidates who would clear all Tier would be considered for SSC CGL recruitment 2019 and would be eligible for government non-gazetted post.

SSC CGL 2019 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Now you are familiar with 4 tiers that you have to qualify to clear CGL exam. Now these each tries has own exam pattern. Tier 1 and tier 2 is similar but tier 3 and 4 are slightly different. Let discuss in details.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern/ Syllabus

In this phase candidates have to face 100 question of 200 marks. Now this 100 question would be divided into 4 section where each section comprise of 25 questions.

Marking Scheme:
For each correct answer candidates get 1 marks and at the same time for each wrong answer, 0.5 mark would deducted.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern/ Syllabus

Candidates who qualify tier 1 would able to appear in this phase. Tier II is also an online mode exam in which tier 1 qualifiers have to answer 3 paper where 3rd one is option for everyone except the candidates who are applying for Statistical Investigator/Junior Statistical Officer posts. In paper 1 consists of English questions, Paper 2 consists of Quantitative Abilities type questions and in paper 3 consists of Statistical Methods type questions.

SSC CGL Tier 3 Exam Pattern/ Syllabus

All the candidates who have been successfully qualified above two tiers would able to appear in this tier. SSC had introduced the same tier in last year (2016). SSC introduce Tier III to check candidates writing skills. In this phase, candidates have to answer Descriptive Paper either English or Hindi. This paper consists of 100 marks question in which applicants have to score minimum 33 percentage to qualify Tier III. The descriptive paper consists of 10+2 stranded question. This paper might be consist of essay/ Passage 250 words and letter/ Application writing of Approx 150 words. Anyhow you can check out previous year question paper for more details.

SSC CGL Tier 4 Exam Pattern/ Syllabus

Candidates who have been successfully qualified tier I, II & III would be eligible for Tier IV. This Tier is simple as compared to other three Tiers. In this phase, candidates have to clear data entry skill test and then finally he/ she successfully pass SSC CGL exam. Data Entry Skill also known as Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). Here candidates have to type 8,000 words in one hour or 2000 words in 15 minutes. Basically, this test is introduced to check candidates Data entry speed in the computer.

What is SSC CGL 2019 Exam?

Staff Selection Commission conducts SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL) for the recruitment of Grade “B” and “C”  non-gazetted officers to various government jobs. Every year more than 8 lakh student apply for it. According to last year data, only 1.49 lakh student was able to qualify for tier 1 and eligible for tier 2 exam. Actually, there is total 4 tier, To qualify CGL exam candidates to have to qualify all 4 tier. Every tier has its own Syllabus, exam pattern and exam dates (Read continuously for more details).
